LAL Reagent Water, also known as Water for Bacterial Endotoxins Test or BET Water, is specially purified water designed for use in bacterial endotoxin testing. Its primary purpose is to minimize the risk of endotoxin contamination during sample preparation, reagent reconstitution, and dilution procedures.
Because endotoxins can interfere with bacterial endotoxin assays, the quality of water used during testing is an important factor in obtaining reliable and reproducible results.
What Is LAL Reagent Water?
LAL Reagent Water is specially processed and tested to provide a very low endotoxin background. Bioendo BET Water has an endotoxin level of no more than 0.005 EU/ml, with lower-endotoxin options available for highly sensitive assays.
The water can be used to reconstitute LAL reagents and Control Standard Endotoxin, dilute test samples, prepare endotoxin-free solutions, and construct standard curves.
Water used in endotoxin testing must be appropriately controlled for endotoxin contamination. General laboratory purified water should not automatically be assumed to be suitable for BET procedures.

Why Water Quality Matters
